HOME LEARNING UPDATE
Sunday 22nd August
Kia ora koutou,
Tomorrow (Monday 23rd August) we will begin remote learning for our David Street School children.
Please do as much or as little as best suits your needs and situation at home. There is no pressure to do any if you are unable to. The wellbeing of your children and family is the most important thing in these times.
We will be posting learning onto the School Website under the 'Lockdown Learning & Student Zone' page. Most children will choose both options below.
We will share a fun interactive learning challenge on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, similar to last year's lockdown. These are designed for children ranging from 5 - 11 years old. Check out the Learning Challenges page for these.
Every Tuesday and Thursday more structured learning will be posted onto the team pages on the school website. You will see that there is a page for Junior, Middle, and Senior students. There may be differences in the work provided based on the level and area of the school each child is in.
At this stage, we are unable to offer paper learning packs to all students due to the access restrictions to school sites under Alert Level 4. A very small number of paper packs will be delivered to children with no access to online learning.
Your child's teacher will likely organise an online video meeting for the class to attend if able, so please keep an eye out in your emails for this invitation.
If you have any questions please contact your child's teacher and they will be happy to help. Just please be patient with us as not all teachers are in a position to reply straight away due to their own family circumstances at home.
