REPORTING TO PARENTS / COMMUNICATION / NEWLETTERS
David Street School is developing a team approach to learning and assessment. Parents, teachers, and pupils all have important contributions to make in sharing information about individual pupils' achievements, progress, and future goals. We encourage parents' interest and questions about their children's work throughout the year; however, opportunities to more formally share and report information, including progress against the national standards, are organised, including:
● Getting to know our learners - Whakawhanaungatanga - opportunity to meet with families to grow our understanding of every student and their whanau.
● PACT (Parents, Children and Teachers) held mid-year
● Hero our online reporting system that allows our parents to have greater access to and involvement in their child’s learning journey.
Newsletter
There is a fortnightly newsletter of school events and news that is released every second Thursday.
A link to the weekly newsletter can be found on our school website, and is sent out via our School App, Hero and Facebook page.
