 The major aim of the Home & School Association is to foster a positive partnership between the school and home.

Assistance with fundraising is another important role of the Home & School Association and this makes a satisfying and valuable contribution towards developing the very best learning environment possible for our children.  

We are always looking to recruit additional members to the committee and invite you to join!

What is the Home & School Committee?

The DSS Home & School Committee is a group of parents/caregivers that put
together fundraising events, parent get-togethers and functions that benefit our children at school and  in the community.
Being a member of the Home & School is a meaningful way of supporting
your children’s learning.

What Is Our Role?

It is our role to support the school and teachers in matters outside of the curriculum such as organising fundraising for special projects (like the upgrade of the playground /  sunshades /sports dome etc,   co-ordinating events like discos, sausage sizzles, and basically having a better understanding of day to day life at school.

Who Can Be On The Committee?

Any mum or dad, caregiver can join Home and School at any stage of their child's schooling. Being on the committee does not mean you are solely responsible for every fundraising venture that arises. We bring thoughts forward, discuss fundraising ideas and put our collective skills together to come up with some awesome ideas.
