2021 COVID Level 2
Update 2: 15 February 2021
Kia ora koutou katoa
Add wet weather to the first day of Level 2, and you think it might have been a pretty gloomy school day for everyone.
We actually had a great day and want to congratulate our students and staff for their positive can-do attitude, respect for the need to keep everyone safe, and their resilience.
Well done everyone.
Needing to enter school grounds at the start and end of the school day
We will make the following change to our parent entry and exits from tomorrow, Tuesday 16th of February:
Almost all parents needing to come into school during these busy times are able to scan the school QR code at any of the 3 school entrances.
Those parents unable to scan the QR code will now need to hand write their details on the paper register at the David Street Roundabout entrance no matter which entrance you use.
At all other times during the school day, you will need to come to the office to scan or sign the register, then sign your child in or out in the usual way.
We will continue to keep you updated as the need arises.
The Ministry of Education has confirmed that David Street School will open on Monday 18th October to all Level 2 children and Level 2 teachers. Sadly, Level 3 restrictions in other parts of the Waikato mean that those living in Level 3 must stay in level 3 and so are unable to attend our school just yet.
